Fuji Heavy Industries-Japan, manufacturer of Subaru vehicles collaborated with Motorcity, the sole distributor of Subaru in the Kingdom of Bahrain, to organize a major Test Drive event filled with fun and excitement at the BIC on 8th & 9th of November 2009. A large number of journalists as well as the distributors from all across the Middle East region gathered in Bahrain to test drive the new Impreza WRX STI and the new Legacy 2010 models in an exclusive event.

The program started with an action filled Go-Karting session on the Karting track at the BIC on the first day evening. This was followed on the second day with a product presentation by the Subaru team from Japan and a test drive of the rally inspired WRX STI at a specially designed dynamic area. All those who participated in the drive were amazed by the control and performance of the powerful 2.5 litre intercooled, turbo charged Subaru Boxer engine with 305 HP, and the smooth drive with fully synchronized close-ratio 6-speed manual gear box that enables it to accelerate from 0 - 100 km/hr in just 4.8 seconds besides the perfect balance & stability feel from Subaru’s “All wheel drive (AWD)” system.

The invited guests later went on to try the new Subaru Legacy 2010 on the F1 Grand Prix track. The new legacy 2010, redefined with a more comfortable cockpit and even smoother driving experience, astonished the participants with its superb handling and excellent maneuvering capabilities. Subaru’s core technology, “Symmetrical All-Wheel-Drive (AWD)” along with 2.5 litre intercooled “Horizontally-Opposed (Boxer) engine “and the new generation “Lineartronic” transmission gives the all-new Legacy its superb driving performance, and promises to be a very successful and popular model in the region as well as in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
