The award-winning model is the safest performing family Sports/Utility vehicle in its class and offers All-Wheel Drive performance, legendary reliability and durability.

Available with a 2.5 litre (170 BHP) Subaru Boxer engine, it seamlessly blends utility, performance and comfort. The 2009 Forester is built on an all-new platform featuring a longer wheelbase for better road handling and generous space, especially rear seat leg room. The new model also features increased hip and shoulder room.

Like every Subaru, the 2009 Forester is equipped with Symmetrical full-time All-Wheel Drive and as with previous generations of Foresters, the third generation blends positive SUV attributes, including a high seating point and interior versatility, with passenger car comfort, handling and fuel efficiency in an exceptionally well-equipped car.

The Subaru Forester recently received the highest possible rating in frontal and side impact crash tests by the US Government’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). In addition to the five-star frontal and side impact crash-test rating, the 2009 Forester received a four-star rollover resistance rating.
